Christmas Tree Blessing, Santa & Class Act !!

Dolores McDonagh with Louis & Hannah Sue Harte , Marcella McGarry Sue Mahon & Mareeen Dunbar

The annual Blessing of the Cranmore Christmas Tree and turning on of the lights was conducted by Fr Gihooly and Sr Rita. Some of the Sligo Rovers Team arrived with the Cup Winners Cup to add to the excitment. Children from the Abbeyquarter After School Club  under direction of Rose Tully sang Christmas Carols which added to the atmostphere.

Then Santa arrived by Fire Engine and met the children in the  Abbeyquarter.

The youth of Cranmore Youth Drop-in performed at the Christmas event held in Abbeyquarter over the festive season and gave a performance to be proud off. Many thanks to all the volunteers who helped prepare the youth for the show and to the Mayor David Cawley who took time to attend the event, and pulled the winning ticket for the hamper draw. Congratulation to Margaret Kelly of Rusheen Ard who was the lucky winner.
