The Cranmore Community Co-op wishes invite you to take part in a community election to select a resident to represent each of the areas in Cranmore. Cranmore is broken down into three areas and elections will be held for each area. The election will take place on 11th May 2011 at the Abbeyquarter Centre between 4.00- 8.00.
Please take this opportunity to have a say in shaping the future of your community and the Cranmore Regeneration Project.
The Cranmore Community Co-op strongly encourages you to get involved in this ballot to ensure that the voices of people from all areas of Cranmore are heard clearly by the policy-makers. The Regeneration Project is now entering a critically important phase. Over the next 12 to 18 months a new Masterplan will be developed which will shape Cranmore and the surrounding area for decades into the future. If you are interested in the future of your area, your family and/or your community it is important that you take this opportunity to get involved by either going forward for election or by nominating the person of your choice.
The two elected community representatives from your area will work with other community representatives to ensure that the concerns, views and ideas of local people are central to the new Regeneration Plans. Their job will be to make sure that the issues, needs and aspirations of the Cranmore Community are addressed by the responsible agencies and organisations. If our community is to be heard locally and nationally it is important that we present a united voice! Your involvement counts in this.
