Dolly’s Hawaiian night

Dolly’s Hawaiian Nights

Over 70 members of Cranmore Social Club attended a social gathering with a difference recently in the Abbeyquarter Community Centre.  The theme for the evening was all things Hawaiian the aloha spirit of the occasion was infectious as residents grabbed their grass skirts and flower leis to hula the night away.  The hall was decorated with scenes of sea, sand, and palm trees which really added to the atmosphere.

DJ Marty Probst kept the music going with tropical tunes and entertained the gathering with a few of his own hula moves. Andy Mc Gregor visiting from Scotland gave renditions of Rod Steward, and Neil Diamond to lend variety to the evening.

Party Games included ‘Open the Box’ which produced a string of prizes including a few choice booby prizes, and ‘Play Your Cards Right’ Head of refreshments Kenneth Loftus broke out the coconuts and pineapple to produce some memorable delights.  Dolly would like to thank Tina Cawley, Mary Gorman for their help in the preparation of the hall. Watch this space for details of the next great theme night.
