Big Thank you to all who attended our Annual Cranmore Family Fun Day on Sept 2nd.
We all still had such a great day (even if the weather tried its best to put a dampener on things)
Cranmore Co-op wish to thank those organisations and businesses for their contributions, without their generosity and ongoing support we would not be able to provide such a successful event. in particular, we would like to thank The Sisters of Mercy who sponsor the Perpetual Shield for the highly anticipated Best Kept Garden competition in Cranmore – which this year was won by Helen Nibbs, who also won ‘A Wishing Well’ made by CLASP, the Regeneration Office sponsored the other 22 prizes in the competition.
The ICA as usual played a leading role in the festivities by judging the Baked Goods Competition which was sponsored by Sligo Credit Union. Well done to Helen Munn who won first prize with her delicious Lemon Sponge Cake and runners up Shirley Gorman and Phyllis McGuinness. also well done to the Young People who entered the youth category, with all entries receiving a prize – Holly and Sophie McAndrews, Liam Somers, Sarah and Leagha, Rhianna, Kayla and Jaden.
We would also like to say a special Thank You to Sligo Cricket Team for facilitation a come and try workshop on the day with the community. This was a huge success and proved very popular with residents of all ages. We also had a guest appearance from Craig Young, who is current Irish International player.
