This event was held in Harrys Bar and was attended by about 25 people from the Cranmore community. It started at 6 o’clock and music was provided by Marty Probst and Dolly Loftus, Betty Mc Morrow and Helen O’Hara prepared the food. The purpose of the event was for the women of Cranmore to get together after all the hustle and bustle of preparing for Christmas and relax and have a bit of fun.

Each person brought a present to exchange in the Kris Kringle not worth more than €5. These were distributed by a member of the community Dolly Loftus dressed as Mrs Claus and much hilarity was had by all. Marty Probst kept the group entertained with a lively selection of music with the highlight of the evening the Joe Dolan medley.

It was agreed to form a social club with one of the aims to progress this event into an annual occasion.  Dolly Loftus a resident of Joe Mc Donnell Drive proposed that she start a savings club and be responsible for collecting the money anyone interested in this can contact Dolly through the Co-op office.
