There was a meeting held last Wednesday evening the 22nd of April 2015 in Ray McSharry Park with the Chairpersons of the Resident’s Associations. The following proposal was agreed and brought to the Regeneration Steering Committee and it was accepted:

We as Cranmore community reps are advising the design team that a questionnaire needs to be developed into consultation as part of Stage 4. This will allow the ideas to be further explored as there are strong reservations in some of the ideas including the roads, land swap and the movement of the pitch.
Additionally the community reps need to have input into this questionnaire to make sure it is community friendly. We also require the consultation to take place in the Cranmore community centre. We will be working with the residents associations to support Cranmore households to attend Stage 4 consultation/exhibition (remind to attend, offer lifts, literacy support, home visit etc to ensure that every opportunity is availed of to engage the community at stage 4 ).
If the Design Team believe in this vision, then use this opportunity to explain these ideas further and ‘sell’ them to the community. Furthermore it will provide opportunity for discussion around viable alternative options.
We request that the Steering committee support this proposal.
